Safety and ingredients
Earswrap is a water-based liquid skin adhesive that holds prominent ears flat. This page explains what is in it, how to use it safely, and what to do if your skin reacts. If anything here does not match what you were told, trust this page and contact us.
What Earswrap is, and what it is not
A cosmetic-grade, water-based adhesive applied to the skin behind the ear. It holds the ear closer to the head while it is worn, and washes off with warm water and mild soap.
Not a medical device, not surgery, and not a permanent correction. It does not treat any medical condition and it does not change ear cartilage. The effect lasts only while the adhesive is worn.

How to patch test
Do this once, before your first ever use, and again if your skin has become more sensitive since.
- 1Wash and dry the inside of your forearm.
- 2Apply a small drop of Earswrap, about the size of a grain of rice, and let it dry.
- 3Leave it in place for a few hours without covering it.
- 4Check the skin for redness, itching, burning, swelling or a rash.
- 5If the skin looks and feels normal, you can go ahead and use Earswrap behind the ear. If there is any reaction, wash the area with warm water and mild soap and do not use the product.
Where to apply it, and where not to
- Behind the ear and on the adjacent skin of the head, on clean, dry, intact skin.
- On the outer ear only - the areas you can see and reach easily.
- Never inside the ear canal.
- Never on or near the eyes, lips or any mucous membrane.
- Not on broken, cut, sunburnt, shaved-raw, irritated or infected skin.
- Not on skin being treated for a condition, or over a wound or piercing that has not healed.
- Not on hair you want to keep free of adhesive - keep hair clear of the application area.
Application and removal
Start with clean, dry, oil-free skin. Apply a thin layer behind the ear and on the head behind it, let it become tacky, then press the ear gently into position and hold for a few seconds. Do not use more product than you need - a thin layer holds better than a thick one.
To remove, soak the area with warm water and mild soap, wait, then gently work the adhesive off with your fingertips. It should come away without pulling. Never peel the ear away while the adhesive is still bonded, and never use solvents, alcohol, acetone or nail polish remover.
Skin irritation and allergy warnings
Any adhesive worn on skin can cause a reaction in some people, even a hypoallergenic one. Do not use Earswrap if you have a known allergy to any ingredient in the formula, if the skin behind your ear is broken or irritated, or if a doctor has advised you against skin adhesives.
- Stop using the product.
- Remove any remaining adhesive with warm water and mild soap, gently. Do not use solvents, alcohol or force.
- Keep the area clean and dry and let the skin recover before considering any further use.
- If redness, swelling, pain or a rash persists or worsens, contact a pharmacist, doctor or dermatologist.

Age guidance
- Suitable from age 3 and over.
- Children should always be supervised by an adult during application and removal.
- Not for infants or babies. If you are considering it for a very young child, speak to a paediatrician first - early ear moulding is a clinical procedure and Earswrap is not a substitute for it.
- Keep the bottle out of reach of children when not in use.
Regulatory status
Not classified as hazardous under the GB-EU CLP regulation (UK REACH, SI 2020/1577 as amended).

Contains ammonium persulfate. May produce an allergic reaction (EUH208). Patch test before first use.

First aid
Wash immediately with water and mild soap and rinse thoroughly.
Remove contact lenses if present. Rinse the open eye under running water for several minutes. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor.
Rinse the mouth with water. If symptoms persist, consult a doctor and take the bottle with you.
Move to fresh air. Consult a doctor if you feel unwell.
Storage and handling
- Close the cap fully after every use so the adhesive does not dry out.
- Store upright in cool, dry conditions at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat.
- Keep away from oxidising agents and household chemicals.
- Keep out of reach of young children.
- Do not swallow. If swallowed, seek medical advice and take the bottle with you.
