For many people, self-consciousness about the shape of their ears is more than a minor annoyance. It can affect confidence, social life, and how you feel about yourself every single day. For me, it was a constant concern that started small and slowly became something I wanted to solve without risking surgery. That journey, filled with trial, error and embarrassment, eventually led to the invention of Earswrap, the first invisible non-surgical ear correction solution.
The struggle with traditional methods
Before Earswrap existed, I tried almost everything on the market to adjust the shape of my ears. None of it worked the way I wanted, and some of it was outright painful.
I even tried superglue. At first it seemed perfect, it could hold my ears in the desired shape temporarily, and I used it on nights out to feel more confident. But the reality became clear quickly. The glue irritated my skin, leaving my ears red, dry and uncomfortable. One night at a crowded nightclub, a friend put his arm around me while dancing and pulled my ear out of place. The sensation of hardened glue scraping both his hand and my ear was excruciating and embarrassing. After that, I knew superglue could never be a safe or discreet solution.
Tapes, devices and prosthetic adhesives
Tapes were either visible or fell off with the slightest sweat. Plastic devices were bulky and pressed into the skin until it hurt. Prosthetic adhesives used in film and theatre were never built for everyday wear behind the ear and the removers were just as aggressive as the glue itself.
Building what should have existed
After years of compromise, I realised the problem was not the technique, it was the adhesive. Nothing on the market was made for this exact job. So I built it. Earswrap is a skin-safe, invisible liquid adhesive designed specifically to correct ear shape naturally, comfortably and discreetly, without surgery. It is the product I wish I had had from the start.
