1. Data controller

The data controller responsible for your personal data is Solometics SL, based in Málaga, Spain, trading as Earswrap. You can contact us at any time at hello@earswrap.com.

2. Information we collect

  • Contact details: email address, and any name or message you submit through the waitlist or contact form.
  • Order details: billing and shipping address, items ordered and order history. Payment card details are entered directly into our payment processor and are not stored on our servers.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, approximate session duration and referring source, only when you accept analytics on the cookie banner.
  • Technical data: browser type, device type and a truncated IP address used for security and fraud prevention.

3. How we use your data

  • To process orders, deliver products and provide support.
  • To send launch updates, early access invitations and service emails. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time.
  • To measure aggregate Site performance and improve content (only with your analytics consent).
  • To comply with legal obligations such as tax, accounting and consumer law.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use a single first-party analytics identifier (stored as ew_sid in your browser's session storage) to count page views and measure how long visitors stay. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers. You can accept or decline analytics from the banner shown on your first visit. If you decline, no analytics data is collected. You can clear your choice at any time by clearing site data in your browser.

6. Sharing and processors

We never sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted processors that help us run the business, under written data processing agreements:

  • Payment processing (Stripe) to take and settle payments.
  • Hosting, database and email infrastructure providers used to operate the Site.
  • Shipping carriers used to deliver your order.
  • Authorities or advisors where required by law or to defend our legal rights.

7. International transfers

Some of our processors are based outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where this is the case, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent UK transfer mechanisms to ensure your data receives an essentially equivalent level of protection.

8. Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Order and invoice records are kept for the period required by applicable tax law (typically up to 7 years). Waitlist and marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Analytics data is aggregated and retained for no longer than 24 months.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls and regular reviews. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever become aware of a breach affecting your data we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

10. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent and request data portability. To exercise any right, email hello@earswrap.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.

11. Regional rights (EU, UK, US)

European Union and EEA

You have the rights set out in the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679). You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In Spain this is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es).

United Kingdom

UK residents have equivalent rights under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, and may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

United States (California)

California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA.

12. Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
