Does Earswrap hold up when you swim?
Short answer: yes for showers and quick swims, with a reapply rule for longer sessions.
Quick answer
Earswrap is water-resistant once dry. It holds through showers, sweat and short swims. For long pool sessions, salt water, or chlorinated training swims of more than 20 to 30 minutes we recommend reapplying afterwards. Earswrap will not rinse off on its own - removal still requires warm water plus mild soap and gentle scrubbing.
Most ear-correction options fail the moment water touches them. Silicone stickers peel, headbands soak, and surgery is not something you do for one beach day. Earswrap is a skin-safe liquid adhesive that dries clear, holds the ear flat against the head, and stays bonded through everyday water exposure.
Where it helps
Pool parties and beach days
Short swims, sun and sand. Earswrap stays put. Pat the ear dry afterwards rather than rubbing it.
Kids in swim class
Apply before the lesson and Earswrap holds for the duration. Reapply after towel-drying if there is another activity that day.
Daily showers
No need to remove Earswrap before a shower. It holds for the full duration of one application, water included.
Why Earswrap
Water-resistant once dry
Two minutes of drying time and it is sealed against splash and shower water.
Will not slip mid-swim
No sticker edge to lift. The bond is skin-to-skin behind the ear.
Invisible under wet hair
Wet hair tucks behind the ear without revealing anything.
Easy reapply
10 ml bottle gives you up to 100 applications. Carry it in a beach bag.
How to apply
- 1
Apply Earswrap at least 5 minutes before getting in water. Two minutes to dry, three for safety.
- 2
Avoid soap and shampoo directly on the bonded area during the day. Rinse around it.
- 3
After long swims, pat the ear dry, inspect the bond, and reapply if you feel any lift.
- 4
Remove at the end of the day with warm water and mild soap.
Questions
Does chlorine break the bond?
Chlorine does not dissolve Earswrap, but extended exposure (more than 30 minutes of active swimming) can soften the edge of the bond. Reapply afterwards if you need the hold to last.
What about salt water?
Same rule as chlorine. Quick ocean dips are fine. For long beach days, pat dry and reapply.
Can it go underwater?
Yes. Earswrap stays bonded underwater for typical recreational swim durations.
Will it irritate sensitive ears?
Earswrap is dermatologically tested and applied behind the ear, not inside the ear canal. If you have a known skin condition, do a small patch test first.
